JAKARTA, December 1, 2023 - To support tech education and the development of Indonesian youth in the digital world, #seKODlah x Kampus Merdeka Cohort 2, has organized an Industrial Visit program to Forest Interactive HQ in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The program involves four selected participants who have demonstrated excellence in both academic and non-academic achievements.
The program took place from October 30 to November 7, 2023. It is designed to provide practical experience to participants, enhance their knowledge of the technology industry, and offer insights into the latest developments in the field. Two participants recognized as Most Valuable Participants in this program are Fauzan Fakhrizal Azmi (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya) and Rizqina Kurniawati (Universitas Budi Luhur Jakarta). Meanwhile, Most Academic Excellence was awarded to Franklin Rafael Geovani Salindeho (Universitas Brawijaya Malang) and Oktaviani Diah Pratiwi (Universitas Nasional Jakarta).
The Industrial Visit program aims to provide participants with hands-on experience in the technology industry. This activity is expected to deepen their understanding of the industry and inspire them to pursue careers in technology. This program took place at Forest Interactive HQ, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a technology company known for its leadership in innovation.
#seKODlah x Kampus Merdeka provides special support to participants with outstanding academic and non-academic achievements. Participants have the opportunity to participate in sharing sessions with several talents from the Forest Interactive Group of Companies. Additionally, they are given the chance to present in front of Forest Interactive employees, to enhance their public speaking skills, confidence, and presentation abilities. In addition, participants are also invited to experience cultural immersion in Malaysia. This includes exploring the diversity, culinary delights, and artistic traditions that make Malaysia special, providing a more holistic experience during their visit.
Unforgettable Experiences
Rizqina Kurniawati shared her experience, "It is a very valuable experience to visit an IT company. Forest Interactive has taught me many things, especially in the IT aspect. This program provides great motivation for participants to work in the IT field even if our chosen majors are somewhat unrelated to IT. Forest provides the opportunity to explore new things in social and cultural aspects. It gives us a different understanding of our home country. It provides opportunities to learn and map out a situation directly in several units in Malaysia."
Franklin Rafael Geovani Salindeho added, "The experience of participating in the Industry Visit to Forest Interactive HQ is truly extraordinary. The atmosphere is so enjoyable and full of cheerfulness. I had the opportunity to interact with talented and inspirational individuals from Forest Interactive and those involved in it. Not only that, but meeting mentors also who are patient and understanding in guiding us truly adds value to this journey. Not to mention, the presence of new friends who are enthusiastic, fun, and have their humor makes this journey even more memorable."
