JAKARTA — Forest Interactive Indonesia continues to do its part in giving back to society by sharing the joy of this year's Lunar New Year celebration with the children at Karena Kasih Orphanage, Sunter, North Jakarta.
The Lunar New Year CSR program was held on February 24 and supported by the Asosiasi Video Games Association (AVGI), Program Asik, and Wallet Codes.
Megan Faustine, Assistant Manager Business and Development Forest Interactive said the concern of the wellbeing of the families at Karena Kasih Orphanage has led to the talents to initiate the program.
"Karena Kasih orphanage is a home to around 30 people, including children aged 7 to 13 years old. They often face a shortage of daily essentials, and most of the time they are not able to enjoy festive celebrations as much as the rest of us. Thus, it's important for us to join forces to help those who are in need and share the prosperity with them."
"The employees of Forest Interactive and AVGI donated daily necessities such as sanitary kits, supplements, snacks, food, detergents, clothes, and toys. The donation items were collected from our talents and AVGI's members", she added.
Megan also noted the program followed strict prevention measures to ensure the safety of both employees and the families.
One of the talents, Priscilla, expressed her gratitude and happiness to lend a hand to the families.
"It feels great that we are still able to share what we have during the current situation. I always pray for them to remain healthy and cheerful, and hopefully, grow up to become successful and able to contribute to their family and country," said Priscilla, who also an avid Point Blank player.
One of the trustees, Yunus, expressed his appreciation to Forest Interactive Indonesia and AVGI employees for bringing happiness to the families of Karena Kasih Orphanage.
